Description
The DDCP-Link offers users and network managers an easy way to protect expensive and mobile IT equipment with LAN connection from damage. If the mobile IT equipment is moved in a larger radius than the connected RJ45 connection cable allows, the DDCP link releases the connection from a certain tensile force and protects the expensive circuit boards of the IT equipment from damage such as torn out contacts or loss of the RJ45 socket for the network connection.
Expensive repairs are thus a thing of the past. Since the tripping force is below the standard specifications for RJ45 plugs and sockets according to IEC 60603-7, it is ensured that the connection between RJ45 connection cable and DDCP-Link is disconnected first. Nevertheless, the DDCP offers sufficient insertion and withdrawal forces to prevent unintentional loosening of the connection with low tensile forces. The DDCP can be easily integrated into existing structures, e.g. by plugging it between the telecommunications connection box, connection cable and in front of the active device.
