Description
The fieldbus node NA9173 establishes the connection between the FnIO system and the Modbus RS485 fieldbus as a slave.
The I/O modules used are automatically recognized and the fieldbus node creates a local process image. The internal process image of the NA9173 fieldbus node is stored in the memory of the relevant controller via the MODBUS RS485 fieldbus. By subdividing the process image into an input and output data area, the process data is read in via MODBUS, processed further in a controller and the process output data output via MODBUS.
The automatically generated process image is created in the order of the expansion modules in their slots.
The bits of the digital expansion modules are summarized to bytes and attached to the analog data. If the number of digital I/Os exceeds 8 bits, another byte is started by the fieldbus node.
