Description

There are many situations in which the monitoring of the ambient temperature is not only practical but also necessary. This includes, for example, refrigerators in restaurants, medical cabinets, server rooms, heating systems or machines in industrial areas. The Mobeye CM4200 ThermoGuard is an effective tool to protect against cold or overheating damage. Simply set the maximum or minimum temperature and leave the Mobeye ThermoGuard CM4200 to monitor. Although the Mobeye ThermoGuard is designed for low power consumption (more than a year in battery operation under normal use), it can also be connected to an external power source. If this is the case, the ThermoGuard is also a power failure detector. The temperature can be set between -35 °C and +70 °C. If the actual temperature is outside the set limits, a push notification or SMS/call/email is sent. In addition to the temperature sensor, external sensors can be connected to the two NO/NC inputs. By connecting devices or external sensors, you can monitor even more, such as the operation of heaters, ventilation systems, other electrical machines or the opening of doors. The settings, such as alarm delays in the event of a power failure, user-defined alarm texts, etc., are easy to program.

For communication, the Mobeye (M2M) SIM card is included in the delivery of the product. This low-cost "multi-provider" SIM card ensures communication over the 4G LTE-M network (with 2G as fallback). This SIM card also offers the use of the Mobeye Internet Portal and app for more comfort and optimum security. The 4G LTE-M network is very reliable, has strong penetration and also offers low power consumption. The SIM card for the Mobeye CM4200 to be activated online costs 4.00 EUR per month. This is a fixed amount based on fair use.

Optionally, a separate (micro) SIM card can be used. The device then works (only) with 2G and without using the Mobeye portal. The alarm notifications are sent via SMS and telephone call (max.) 5 contacts sent. Programming is done via (simple) SMS commands.

The ambient temperature must not be exceeded or undercut during operation (not below -10 °C and not higher than 50 °C). The device must be protected against moisture, water spray and overheating. The device may only be operated with the batteries specified by the manufacturer. The device must be protected against strong vibrations and shocks. The device must not be installed and operated in the vicinity of flammable gases, vapors or dust.
The device may only be repaired by a Mobeye® expert.
