Description

The Mobeye CM4400 smoke detector consists of the combination of a battery-operated smoke detector from EI Electronics and the reliable, specially developed and also battery-operated 4G LTE-M/2G module from Mobeye. In contrast to conventional smoke detectors, the CM4400, in case of smoke detection, in addition to the built-in siren, also alerts pre-set contacts via push message/telephone/SMS/e-mail. Transmission to a private emergency call center (PAC) is also possible. This is done via the standardized SIA DC09 protocol.
Application areas are: Holiday homes, garages, warehouses, boats, mobile homes, Caravans, basements, construction sites, care facilities, vacant properties, etc.

For communication, the Mobeye (M2M) SIM card is included in the delivery of the product. This low-cost "multi-provider" SIM card ensures communication over the 4G LTE-M network (with 2G as fallback). This SIM card also offers the use of the Mobeye Internet Portal and app for more comfort and optimum security. The 4G LTE-M network is very reliable, has strong penetration and also offers low power consumption. The SIM card for the Mobeye CM4400 to be activated online costs 4.00 EUR per month. This is a fixed amount based on fair use.

Optionally, a separate (micro) SIM card can be used. The device then works (only) with 2G and without using the Mobeye portal. The alarm notifications are sent via SMS and telephone call (max.) 5 contacts sent. Programming is done via (simple) SMS commands.

Information

The ambient temperature must not be exceeded or undercut during operation (not below -10 °C and not higher than 50 °C). The device must be protected against moisture, water spray and overheating. The device may only be operated with the batteries specified by the manufacturer. The device must be protected against strong vibrations and shocks. The device must not be installed and operated in the vicinity of flammable gases, vapors or dust.
The device may only be repaired by a Mobeye® expert.
