Description

The Homematic IP switch measuring socket is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home system and enables flexible control of electrical devices via time profiles, manually directly on the device or via the Homematic IP App, while at the same time keeping an eye on their energy consumption. For commissioning, the switch measuring socket simply has to be plugged into a socket and added to the Homematic IP system. The compact adapter plug can be used to control an electric heater as well as to switch another electrical consumer, such as a floor lamp. If the consumer is to be switched on or off directly on site, this can be done easily via the integrated button on the front of the switch measuring socket, or via the free smartphone app. With the Homematic IP Skill for Amazon Alexa, anyone who wants can conveniently control the Homematic IP switch measuring socket via voice commands. Within the Homematic IP room climate solution, the Smart adapter works together with the Homematic IP wall thermostat. If an electric heater is used, the switch measuring socket can be used to precisely regulate the room temperature. The integrated measuring device determines the energy consumption in the range between 0 and 3000 watt. It offers a measurement resolution in 0.01 watt steps and a maximum measurement deviation of +/- 0.03 watt. Thanks to the high measuring accuracy, even the smallest consumers and the standby consumption of electrical devices can be easily monitored via app. The calculated total energy consumption is also clearly displayed in the Homematic IP App. Thanks to the compact housing, the smart adapter plug does not block any surrounding sockets and can remain safely in the socket due to the low standby power consumption of less than 0.3 watt.
