The Wiegand interface enables the integration of Wiegand-enabled terminals into the HomeMatic IP Smart Home system, such as a code lock, fingerprint sensor or a card and transponder reader. The HomeMatic IP APP allows the interface to be set up to suit individual requirements and Wiegand-enabled devices to be integrated. This makes access to the smart home safe and comfortable at the same time.The Wiegand interface has eight virtual input channels that can be individually linked to Wiegand codes. This allows a Wiegand code to trigger one or more virtual input channels and trigger actions.¬ In combination with the HomeMatic IP devices, the lighting, garage door or alarm mode can be controlled.In addition to the Wiegand inputs, the device has an input for connecting a doorbell button and an input for connecting a sabotage contact. An LED or bell can be connected via a switching output. The Wiegand interface fits in all common flush-mounted sockets due to its compact design. For a comfortable mounting, flush-mounted sockets with a depth of more than 50 mm are suitable.The versatile wiring possibilities offer an individual application with the following Wiegand-enabled devices:Code lockFingerprint sensorCard and transponder readerDoorbellVandal contact.
