VDE tester quick testing of FI-switches / different test currents selectable / determines tripping current and tripping time / selective or normal FI-switches possible / this VDE tester determines the tripping current and the tripping time of FI-protective switches. The different selectable test currents permit a very flexible use of this VDE tester. Residual current protective devices are included in each domestic installation. These interrupt the power supply as soon as a fault current occurs. VDE testers allow a residual current to flow and determine at which residual current the residual current circuit breaker reacts. The time of reaction is also measured. These two parameters trip current and trip time are the safety-relevant parameters of an FI switch. The operation of this VDE tester is very simple. In addition to the maximum test current, you can also set the type of RCD (normal or selective) and whether the tripping current or the tripping time should be measured. You can also select whether the test current should start with a positive or negative half-wave. Once all the settings have been made, the measurement starts with the push of a button. With the display color, the VDE tester immediately gives a good/bad rating. You can read the measured value on the large LCD display. If the input voltage is too high or if there is no earthing, as well as if the earth potential is above 50 V, the VDE tester emits a warning signal.
