The Raspberry Pi Zero codec is an audio-IN the size of the Raspberry Pi Zero that transmits bi-directional digital audio signals (I2S) between a Raspberry Pi and Dialog Semiconductor's integrated DA7212 codec, enabling the use of a wide range of input and output devices. With features such as programmable green and red LEDs and a tactile button for user input, the Codec Zero is a great starting point for audio projects such as a walkie-talkie, an intelligent doorbell, an intelligent speaker or a vintage radio hack. Previously known as IQAudio Codec Zero.
The Raspberry Pi Zero Codec is compatible with any Raspberry Pi computer with a 40-pin GPIO connector.Form factor 65 mm × 31 mmPerformance: High-resolution digital audio codec (DAC) DA7212 from Dialog Semiconductor with 24 bit and 96 kHzPower input: Powered by the Raspberry Pi via the 40-pin GPIO header. No external power source requiredAdditional external mono electret microphone via 3.5-mm socket on the control panel1.2 W 8 Ω mono speaker via screw terminals on the control panelStereo input and output channels, including external phono (RCA) jacks, via AUX IN and AUX OUT connectorsOperating temperature 0°C-50°C
