Description
Diesel locomotive series 245 of the German Railways.
The locomotives of the series 245 are meant as replacement for the large diesel locomotives of the series 218 which have meanwhile arrived in the years. The diesel-electric locomotives have four diesel engines which drive four generators for power generation, which in turn power the traction motors via the converters.
