Description
The thermistor relay is used as a protection relay for motors against thermal overload (inadmissible heat-up). This warming may occur due to mechanical overload on the shaft or when operating the motor with unacceptable voltages. A PTC (PTC) is used as a sensor, which is placed as far as possible at the part of the motor which heats up most when overloaded (e.g. integrated in the motor winding). The device is also applicable with motors, in which a thermo switch is integrated, variants: 230 V AC or 24 V AC/DC, 1 change-over contact or 2 change-over contact.
