Description

For lead-acid batteries 6 to 24 V. This battery switch can be used to charge 2 rechargeable batteries separately using a power source (vehicle alternator, solar power system, wind turbine, battery charger and so on). For charging currents up to max. 10 A (20 A with cooling). The charging current is distributed so that flat batteries are charged more strongly than almost full ones. Ideal for running TVs, radios and so on from one rechargeable battery in camper vans and keeping a second battery fully charged for ignition. Also, for cottages where the alarm system's rechargeable battery shouldn't get empty. A balancing current of approx. 0.005 A can flow between the two batteries (in normal operation at 12 V). This is used to enable an upstream solar regulator, if necessary, to check the voltage of the rechargeable batteries.
