Consideration of type differences
The WR360 C14 emerged in the late 1930s as a shunting locomotive for the Wehrmacht, which was to be used primarily at explosion-prone locations. The locomotive has 360 hp, three coupled axles and an axle load of 14 tons. After the war the remaining locomotives, now known as V36, went to the Deutsche Bundesbahn and the German Federal Railways. Locomotives have also remained in the Czech Republic, Belgium and Austria. After the war, 14 locomotives were reproduced. The DB also used the V36 in shuttle train operation with passenger cars, in addition seven locomotives between 1955 and 1959 received an electro-pneumatic control, which could be operated by only one man. For these operations, some V 36 underwent a major conversion: Because the drive with the (quite high) front end was always a problem and prevented the single-man operation, they were put on the cab.
