Bite away® relieves pain from by insect bites, reduces swelling and redness, and can help to stop you from scratching the afflicted skin.
Helps with insect bites form e.g. wasps, horseflies, hornets, mosquitoes and contact with sea animals such as jellyfishes.
The principle
The application principle is short-term, concentrated heat to a small skin area.
It is expected that this influences different signalling pathways and thus immune and inflammatory reactions of the body.
In addition, the distribution of histamine and dismantling enzymes can reduce inflammatory reactions and effects of insect venom.
In the case of insect bites even a later application can reduce itching quickly and effectively.
The product has a built-in microprocessor that keeps the temperature in the range of 51°C over 3 or 6 seconds, depending on the setting.
Easy to use
Place Bite away® with the ceramic contact surface on the afflicted skin area.
Pressing one of the two buttons applies a temperature of 51°C for the selected time. The application can be repeated if necessary.
Suitable for everybody
The device operates on a purely physical principle: can be used by people with allergies, pregnant women and children. Children from the age of 12 years can use Bite away® independently on their own. The short application period ensures that the skin is not injured.Characteristics
