The LINDY 4K30 HDMI & USB over IP system is a powerful solution for creating a variety of custom-made, distributed AV and KVM installations. The system consists of encoder (No. 38396) and decoder (No. 38397) modules and a separate controller module (No. 38395). All modules are available separately so that you can build and scale the system according to your requirements.
An HDMI source such as a PC or media player is connected to a single encoder module; an HDMI display is connected to a single decoder module (#38397). Multiple encoders and decoders can be combined for a variety of multicast distribution options. The controller module manages the entire installation and forwards the various sources to the various displays, WAS offers a Maximum of creative freedom and individual customization options. All modules can be connected to a managed 1G switch to create a network of connected devices.
In addition, the system supports USB KVM control access for each connected module, so that connected PCs can be controlled on the encoder side of KVM consoles on the remote decoder side.
By combining several decoders and the connected displays it is possible to create not only individual displays, but also impressive video wall and matrix solutions.
This extender system offers a JPEG2000 main stream and a H.264/H265 codec secondary stream, which supports many API commands in order to achieve flexible configurations also from third-party control apps.
It requires a Layer3 1G managed network switch that supports IGMP snooping and 8K Jumbo frame. Through the PoE-function the device can also be switched on without the accompanying mains unit.
