Description
The second Golf Power brought VW the success
Umbra-brown metallic – this paint has a young-timer style. At the beginning, Golf II should not have anything to do with the legend, it was perceived as a grateful everyday companion. The former and current owners of the young timer were raving, because the second generation of golf finally offered a pleasant body when replacing its predecessor in 1983. In view of the traditionally close cooperation with Volkswagen, Wiking naturally followed suit at that time, so that the first models of the Wolfsburg sales success were still out of shape in Berlin. The prototype of Golf II continued the technical concept of the first golf, but was able to increase noticeably in terms of external dimensions and performance. Golf II, which carried the VW's internal name Type 19E, was built over 6.3 million times between August 1983 and December 1992. It made for the history of cars because it was the first VW to be designed for automatic production with industrial robots. The Golf II was able to seamlessly build on the great sales success of the previous model.
