In the WLAN Mesh, FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX takes over all WLAN settings of the FRITZ!Box, for example the access data and the guest access. FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX delivers data received over the power line with up to 1,200 MBit/s on Wi-Fi 6 to 2.4 GHz with up to 600 MBit/s to the devices in the home network. The distributed FRITZ! Devices work in a single WLAN, exchange themselves and optimize the performance of all WLAN devices. This will give you the best possible connection at any location. Streams, gaming and downloads take place seamlessly and at maximum speed till the last corner of each room. The entire WLAN has only one name, one password and is securely encrypted.

FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX can be easily integrated by plugging into the power socket and pressing the button in the network. By means of 128-bit AES-encryption ex-factory the device is automatically linked securely in the home network. All mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, televisions or games consoles can be connected to the home network at the push of a button. Through WPA2/3 encryption, through simple connection of WLAN devices via WPS and by the powerful Wi-Fi 6 the FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX offers comfort, security and flexibility in wireless surfing.
Power management for Powerline, LAN and WLAN
FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX combines Powerline, Wi-Fi 6 and LAN-connections in a multi-functional power-saving product. An intelligent power management automatically regulates the connection via Powerline and thus reduces the power consumption. In case of moderate data requirements, a reduction of the LAN port speeds from 1,000 to 100 MBit/s also affects the power consumption of the devices. In the WLAN, Green AP, Target Wake Time and the WLAN-time switching also help to save power.
