Combination of Contact Frame and CPU Guard
The AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame is a combination of Contact Frame and CPU Guard for AMD's Ryzen-7000 processors. As a contact frame the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame generates an optimal contact pressure of the CPU in the socket, while an optional, enclosed inlay made of silicone foam serves to protect the exposed components on the CPU.

Optimised inner contour for uniform contact pressure
The precision-machined internal contour of the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame produces several contact points to the heatspreader as compared to the standard SAM, whereby the contact pressure is evenly distributed to the CPU. This ensures that the contact surfaces of the CPU lie uniformly on the pins of the socket. Thus, for instance, problems can be avoided when detecting the main memory.

Innovative silicon foam inlay for protection and sealing
A silicon foam inlay is enclosed with the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame. Like the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU Guard, this can be installed on the processor PCB. During the assembly of the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame, the space between heat spreader and aluminum frame is sealed through the silicone foam by pressing the foam onto the board. This prevents heat transfer compound or liquid metal from getting onto the unprotected components of the CPU. The foam inlay is optional for use with heat conductive pastes, but it is mandatory for liquid metals.

User-friendly assembly with clear marking and compatibility
There is a corresponding mark on the top side of the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame for easy installation. Since the base has an indentation on the upper – the "northern" – edge, mounting is only possible in one orientation. For mounting the frame four screws are enclosed and a compatibility with the Thermal Grizzly AM5 backplates is given.
