Based on a real truck
Wiking founder Fritz Peltzer had already had a good reason why he brought the first generation Opel Blitz as a classic in the 1970s. The Blitz-Hauber was considered as all-purpose trucks not only during the war years, but also after. Without the Opel Blitz from war years, post-war reconstruction would have become more arduous. After all, many hundreds of vehicles from Wehrmacht had survived the years and soon came to new honors in a new design. The flat truck was considered reliable, especially since there were still enough spare parts at the time.
