Description

High-temperature construction material

The Filament Spectrum PA6 CF15 is a black, high-temperature construction material based on polyamide 6. The filling with 15% carbon fiber causes the mechanical strength of polyamide, which forms the basis of the material, to be increased many times. A characteristic feature of this material is that the moisture absorption is halved compared to pure PA6 and the water absorption time is four times lower than the pure PA6. No heated chamber is required during pressure and there is no deformation (shrinkage). The material is compatible with the support materials HIPS- and PVOH.

Moreover, the filament Spectrum PA6 CF15 is characterized by very low linear shrinkage (no more than 0.1%) and a very high deformation temperature (HDT 240°C) as well as a low thermal expansion coefficient (0.4 10-5/K).

Components manufactured from Spectrum PA6 CF15 can be produced at elevated temperatures of up to 150°C in the long term (20. 000h) and up to 180°C can be used at short notice (max. 200h).

The technically very attractive properties of Filament Spectrum PA6 CF15 can be achieved if the basic rules for storage of this type of material are observed (in a dry and dark place with humidity below 15%). To achieve the best possible parameters of the printed object, it is recommended to dry the material before starting work.

Note: Due to the high carbon fiber content, it is recommended to use nozzles with a diameter greater than the standard diameter of 0.4 mm. In addition, the presence of carbon fibers can lead to the degradation of standard brass nozzles. Therefore, hardened steel or ruby nozzles are recommended for the long-term use of Spectrum PA6 CF15.

Uses:

- Functional initial production
- Print elements that operate under real conditions
- Production equipment
- Production of parts for final consumption
- Manufacture of gear wheels and slats, scrapers and guide rollers which operate for a long time and up to 180°C at elevated temperatures of up to 150°C.
- All types of sealing rings and sealing plates with increased chemical and corrosion resistance

In addition, the presence of carbon fibers can lead to the degradation of standard brass nozzles.
