Description

Increased hardness and strength

Spectrum Carbon PLA is a modified PLA filament with 10 % carbon fiber. The printer features enhanced resistance, hardness and tensile strength, low shrinkage and excellent adhesion to the hot bed. The carbon fiber additive gives the manufactured elements a matt surface, which significantly increases the aesthetic quality of the printed elements.

Uses:

The unique properties of Carbon PLA enable it to be used in the production of components that require high strength and hardness while maintaining dimensional stability. Most often, it is the manufacture of spacers that are exposed to static pressure. In addition, the enhanced aesthetic quality of the finished elements allows the use of this material for the production of decorative parts and exterior elements of the design that highlight the design of the product or its prototype.

Note: Due to the high carbon fiber content, it is recommended to use nozzles with a diameter greater than the standard diameter of 0.4 mm. In addition, the presence of carbon fibers can lead to the degradation of standard brass nozzles. Therefore, hardened steel or ruby nozzles are recommended for the long-term use of Spectrum Carbon PLA.
