Spectrum Smart ABS filament is a material with high impact bending resistance and relatively high rigidity. The "Smart" version is characterized by improved processing parameters, which can significantly reduce the difficulty of additive manufacturing by the use of standard ABS material. It is primarily a reduction in shrinkage and a limitation of the release of irritating volatile compounds during processing. Another advantage of this material is that it retains its properties at temperatures up to -40°C.
Compared to standard ABS, Smart ABS is characterized by:
- Reduced shrink rate,
- Glossy surface of the expression,
- Lower pressure temperature,
- Increased flow factor.

Smart ABS can be chemically treated with acetone vapors to produce a very smooth surface. For this reason, elements with this type of treatment are used in industrial design and for objects for decoration.
