This Hickory wood handle is specially designed for use in SIMPLEX split axes. It is ergonomically shaped and also painted for both sides of the axes.
Hickory is a very long-grain wood, WAS on the one hand leads to a great stability of the stems. On the other hand, the stems never completely break two, but both pieces remain connected to each other. This prevents injuries from leaking hammer heads.
