Description

The Foscam R8M is an advanced monitoring camera, which is equipped with innovative functions, in order to maximize your safety.

The Foscam R8M offers excellent 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160) thanks to a 8 megapixel CMOS sensor. This allows the camera to produce precise images and videos of the highest quality, so that even the smallest details are visible. With a diagonal viewing angle of 124.5° and a horizontal detection area of 108° the camera enables a comprehensive monitoring and covers almost every angle. Thanks to the minimum illumination strength of 0 Lux (with IR lamp) and the 8 powerful IR-LEDs the camera records clear and sharp pictures even in complete darkness and offers a viewing range of up to 8 meters.

The advanced millimeter wave radar technology of the Foscam R8M enables accurate detection of movements of persons in a 360° radius, even outside the visible range of the camera. Thanks to the auto-tracking function, the camera automatically follows the detected persons and ensures that they always remain in the focus. This dynamic tracking improves reliability and seamless security. The camera reliably detects movements of persons and pets (dogs and cats) and adjusts flexibly to different environments. Events are reported in real time via the Foscam APP via e-mail or directly as push notification.

The camera supports H.264/H. 264+ video compression, which ensures a high image quality and at the same time minimizes the requirement of storage space. The user can customize the image by adjusting brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness as needed. The support of Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) improves the picture sharpness in scenarios with strong contrast differences, while the 20-fold digital zoom enables it to detect even the most remote details.

The high-quality microphone and the loudspeaker of the camera enable a clear two-way communication. With the one-touch call function, you can immediately communicate with your family members or house occupants by pressing a button. This function is especially useful in emergency situations, for example when children or older people need help.

With support for dual band WLAN (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and Wi-Fi 6 the R8M offers a fast and stable connection, even if several devices are present in the network. Setup is quick and easy thanks to Bluetooth connectivity and QR code support.

It can be conveniently controlled via the free Foscam-APP (available for iOS and Android) or the Foscam video management software (VMS) for Windows and MacOS. With the APP the users can monitor the camera in real-time, display alarms and follow movements.

The Foscam R8M offers flexible storage options. Recordings can be either local on a microSD card with up to 256 GB capacity or safely stored in the cloud. Cloud integration ensures that your data remains protected even in the event of a device failure.

The R8M is compatible with the most common Smart home systems such as Alexa and Google home and can be perfectly integrated into existing systems.
