The Honeywell Xenon™ Extreme Performance (XP) 1952g-bf Area Imaging Scanner is the latest barcode scanner from Honeywell, powered by supercapacitors: An environmentally friendly scanner without a battery. This powerful device can scan over 450 barcodes on a single charge and can be recharged in less than 60 seconds using a powered USB connection.
The Honeywell Xenon™ Extreme Performance (XP) 1952g-bf Area Imaging Scanner is equipped with innovative battery-free technology and offers the freedom to move Bluetooth® low-energy technology without the maintenance and long charging times of conventional batteries. Like all other Xenon scanners, the XP 1952g-bf offers outstanding barcode scanning performance, even if they are poorly printed or even damaged.A built-in Class 2 Bluetooth low power module gives users complete freedom of movement in a typical work environment within a radius of up to ten meters the base station. If the scanner was moved, it can be easily found again with the help of the convenient call function by means of signal tones. You cannot trip over the cable! The Xenon XP 1952g-bf contributes once again to a safe and more productive work environment.The new wireless technology makes the battery completely unnecessary. Instead, a super capacitor is used, which is fully charged via the USB port in less than two minutes (on power-fed USB ports or external mains adapters in less than 30 seconds) and normally provides enough power for at least 450 scans of UPC/EAN barcodes without re-charging. This makes the Xenon XP 1952g-bf Ideal suitable for retail, workstation, and cash register applications – for example, as a complement to bioptic (built-in) scanners, or as support for shipping and receiving points in the warehouse. The battery also eliminates the time and effort associated with charging and the scanner is also lighter and more environmentally friendly.The XP 1952g-bf is based on the proven Xenon platform and offers high performance in linear bar code scanning and the convenience of wireless connectivity – all without a battery.
Characteristics
The fully charged scanner can read an average of over 450 UPC/EAN codes with one charge. That's enough to pay off 25 customers.
When fully charged, super capacitors will remain charged for several hours, so there will be no operational restrictions if the scanner has not been placed in the charging station before the pause.
You can set two independent charging instructions to remind the user to place the scanner in the cradle so that it is ready for use all the time.
The Xenon XP 1952g-bf can be fully charged in less than two minutes using a simple USB connection, at a powered USB port or external power supply in less than 30 seconds.
When the scanner is placed in the base station, the scan-ready LED flashes on average in less than 20 seconds to indicate that power is available for at least 100 scans
