Plants in the room and conservatory want to be protected. Winged lichen fly from plant to plant to spread. Their numerous offspring feed on plant juices. The larvae of mourning mosquitoes and miner flies damage leaves by feeding themselves from their inner tissues. However, these plant pests can easily be drawn into a sticky trap by the color yellow.
