Description
On the network of the Rhaetian Railway, the locomotives of the Ge 4/4 II series, with their 2,300 HP and their highest speed of 90 km/h, can be seen in front of all types of train. In 1973, the first locomotive in this series - at that time still in the dark green paint and with round headlights - was delivered to the RhB. Several times modernized and converted - among other things the locomotives received square headlights - almost all are still in use, from local train to Glacier Express one can experience the locomotives. The locomotive with the operating number 611, was painted green again as historical locomotive, but retains the angular headlights.
The 57 cm long electric locomotive of the Ge 4/4 II series with the operating number 611 of the Rhaetian Railway is designed in the historical painting of the epoch IV time. All 4 wheel sets are driven by two powerful engines. Equipped with a mfx/DCC decoder, which offers various light and sound functions and the motor function of the higher and lower roof pantographs.
