The cable length measuring device is a powerful and versatile measuring instrument, which was designed especially for the exact measurement of electrical cables and wires. With an impressive measurement range from 0.1 m to an amazing 30 km, this device can measure and display cable lengths. As the cable length meter determines the length over the line resistance, it can also measure the resistance from 0.1 mΩ to 1999.9 Ω. For this measuring principle, it is also necessary to connect the Kelvin terminals with both cable ends.
The temperature monitoring function, which covers an operating range from -5 °C to +50 °C, enables the influence of temperature fluctuations on the length measurement to be taken into account. The cable length meter supports the display of the cable length in various units, including meters (m), kilometers (km) and feet (ft), in order to meet the different requirements of users and nations.
The implementation of 8 storage locations allows the user to individually configure and store cable types for quick access to frequently used settings. This function significantly increases the practicality of the device.
By integrating copper and aluminum cable support, the tester opens up applications in various industrial environments.
