Overview

The steering wheel interface enables the control of retrofit car radios via the steering wheel remote control and thus receives the factory-set operating functions for audio upgrades. The special adapter geometry is matched to the Hyundai and Kia harnesses, WAS simplifies installation and minimizes changes to the vehicle harness. Compatibility with vehicles without the factory audio system or with factory-installed navigation system ensures a flexible integration in original and retrofit systems. The harness connector receives the signal guide for the remote control inputs, allowing direct communication between the steering wheel buttons and the new car radio.

Description

This car radio adapter serves as a inLine interface for steering remote control and converts the switching signals into a format that is compatible with retrofit car radios. It is installed between the vehicle wiring harness and the new car radio, intercepts the steering wheel remote control outputs and assigns them to the corresponding input lines of the radio. The adapter is designed in such a way that it is compatible with the connector profiles of various Hyundai and Kia models from the factory. The installation therefore usually only requires you to unplug the original plug and plug in the adapter cable without having to cut the cables. It is suitable for vehicles that either do not have a factory sound system or have a factory navigation system, so that the steering wheel remote control functions remain intact after the upgrade.
