Overview

The steering wheel remote control enables further use of the audio control after installation of an retrofit radio, since the functions of the original remote control remain intact. The ISO adapter cabling corresponds to the pin assignment of the OEM harness, WAS simplifies the connection and reduces the installation time. Compatibility with vehicles and cameras ensures video integration when replacing the car radio. The support of systems with eCall function maintains the emergency call connection even when the system changes.

Description

This Hi-Fi adapter converts the factory-set vehicle cabling into an ISO-compatible interface and thus enables the easy installation of a retrofit radio in Mercedes Vito W447 vehicles of the year of manufacture 2014–2024. It forwards the signals of the steering wheel remote control and the relevant audio control cables to the new car radio, while the signal paths of the rear-view camera and the cabling of the emergency call system remain intact. The appliance is integrated into the original harness and is directly connected to the existing harness. This allows for plug and play installation without having to separate the factory plugs. Typical application areas are in-car audio upgrades, where the original steering wheel remote controls, camera function and emergency call system compatibility must be maintained for professional installation or upgrade projects.
