Overview

The ISO adapter interface enables the direct connection of OEM cable harnesses to retrofit car radios and thus simplifies the installation in compatible vehicles. The pin assignment supports the steering wheel remote control so that the operating functions are retained during radio exchange. Compatibility with OEM-FIS white menu displays ensures the integration of vehicle information without additional adapters. The system is designed for different audio/navigation systems from Škoda and VW and reduces installation time when replacing plant equipment.

Description

This car radio adapter converts the factory wiring into a standard ISO audio/harness connection, enabling the integration of retrofit radios into existing vehicle systems. It routes power, speaker and data signals from OEM devices such as the RCD and RNS series into a common ISO format and thereby maintains compatibility with the steering wheel remote control and the FIS display (if available). The installation is very simple: The adapter is connected to the original plug of the vehicle and the ISO socket of the retrofit radio, so that no cable must be cut. The adapter supports integration with various navigation and audio devices from Škoda and Volkswagen and allows technicians to install replacement radios without affecting the vehicle's own audio channel guidance and controls.
