Overview

The steering wheel connection harness supports OEM remote connections, allowing the factory controls to be maintained when replacing the car radio. The ISO plug geometry is compatible with trapezoidal and OEM radio sockets and simplifies plug-and-play installation. The compatibility with certain CD/DVD car radios ensures control over the audio source and thus reduces the reprogramming or the use of additional adapters. The vehicle area assignment enables direct connection to the models listed and thus minimizes the necessary changes to the cabling during installation.

Description

This car radio adapter converts the commands of steering wheel remote control into signals that are compatible with different factory radio systems. This means that the retrofit or replacement device can interpret the existing key presses. The adapter is connected to the vehicle's original radio harness and the car radio ISO connector and forwards the control cables for volume, title and source selection to the input of the new radio. For installation, it is usually necessary to disconnect the original radio harness, connect the adapter between the harness and the car radio, and route the steering wheel remote control cable according to the instructions of the new radio. The adapter is intended for installation by professionals or experienced do-it-yourself enthusiasts in compatible Opel, Renault and Nissan vans and cars with the original radios listed. This retains the original ergonomics and prevents extensive re-wiring.
