Overview

The ISO interface enables a plug-and-play connection with the OEM cable harness and thus simplifies the installation of retrofit radios or steering wheel remote controls. The compatibility with the steering wheel remote control adapter maintains the functions of the factory switches and enables the audio control without additional programming. The adapter is tuned to the signal assignment of Media Nav and Navi 50 Intellilink and supports OEM-devices with USB/AUX-connection on the front side for the correct input forwarding. The form factor is suitable for 1-DIN OEM devices with USB/AUX connection at the front and rotary knobs and enables a clean integration behind the dashboard.

Description

This car radio connector converts factory wiring into a standard ISO steering wheel remote control interface, so that retrofit and replacement radios are compatible with the existing vehicle controls. It is connected to the original harness and assigns the manufacturer's signal lines to the Media Nav Evo and Navi 50 Intellilink inputs, so that audio, USB and AUX connections continue to function. The installation is done simply by plugging the adapter between the original radio and the vehicle cable harness. This keeps the connections on the dashboard and the signals from the steering wheel buttons and does not require the wiring to be cut. Typical applications are the retrofitting of 1-DIN radios or the replacement of factory radios in various vans and cars, in order to guarantee the original user-friendliness and access to USB/AUX.
