The Plustek SmartOffice PS283 is a simplex scanner that is perfect for document management with a scanning speed of 25 pages per minute and ADF template capacity. The cost-effective scanning solution digitizes documents from business card size to DIN A4. With its small footprint, the SmartOffice PS283 fits on any desktop.
Bundled with a powerful software package for document management, business card scanning (BCR), text recognition (OCR) and image processing, scanning becomes a snap. Documents can be scanned with the PS283 at the touch of a button and then sent to an email, printer, FTP or saved to a file. The user can choose between the common image formats and the searchable PDF. Plustek DocAction software allows configuration of each scan button. This allows the user to scan documents to the desired format at the touch of a button. Plustek DICapture image processing provides many features, such as automatic alignment, size recognition and color dropout.
Scanning directly as PDF and seamless transition to further processing
The Plustek PS283 offers the user to scan documents directly as editable PDF. Both the TWAIN driver and the OneTouch function keys ensure a seamless transition to image and document management software. The scan buttons can be individually assigned using the supplied DocAction software. This allows the user to save the scanned documents directly to an email, file or FTP server or send them to a printer. The scanning comfort is rounded off by an ADF template capacity of 50 pages and a scanning speed of 25 pages per minute. OCR and BCR make editing, saving and distribution to colleagues a breeze.
