The Brown thermal scan measures the from the eardrum and the surrounding tissue emitted infrared heat. In order to prevent inaccurate temperature measurements, the probe tip to a body temperature similar temperature warms up. When the brown thermal scan in the ear is introduced, it continuously measures the infrared energy. The measurement is completed and the result will be displayed when the thermometer detects that a precise temperature measurement has been completed.
