Traxxas ID connector system
Efficiency, ease of use and high power handling. With ID-equipped Traxxas LiPo batteries, the balance plugs are integrated into the Traxxas high-current connector, eliminating the need for fragile balance wires and connectors and the need for external balance boards.
In today's brushless motors and high density, high discharge rate battery packs, the use of a poorly designed connector is like attaching a garden hose to a hydrant. The pressure is present, but the flow is stifled with resistance.
The patented Traxxas high current connector flows like a fire hose, with virtually zero voltage loss due to the current draw resistance. The Traxxas connector is a more sophisticated solution for real-world use. Large, structured surfaces on the plug-in bodies are easy to grasp for the fingers and the clever reverse polarity protection makes it practically impossible to insert incorrectly. By sheathed wire connections, the additional steps for the installation of heat shrink tubes are no longer necessary. Gold-plated copper terminals with large, spring-loaded contact surfaces ensure a perfect connection every time. Even after thousands of inserts, Traxxas high current connectors retain their precise haptics and incredibly low resistance.
Semi-rigid design
Traxxas ID-equipped Power Cell LiPo packs use a unique design method that results in a solid, robust and compact pack. This allows Power Cell LiPos to offer a larger capacity in a given size and allows the user to easily monitor the condition of his battery.
Oversized discharge strips
Power Cell LiPos are made of premium cells with extra-wide discharge straps. The discharge tabs are the actual contact points between the cells, so maximizing their surface is crucial to maximizing pack performance. The extra-wide discharge straps of the Power Cell LiPos ensure a minimum resistance, so that more power and capacity is supplied with each run.
Maxx cables
each component of a battery pack contributes to its performance - and this includes the cables. Traxxas Maxx® multi-wire 12AWG wire provides extremely low resistance, so that power is not wasted as heat, and the fine strands provide excellent flexibility for easy installation and reduced stress on the solder joints of the pack. The soft silicone insulation protects against short circuits without compromising flexibility.
