The GS-105B/GS-108B desktop switch from ZyXEL with 10/100/1000 Mbps is designed for reliable, high-performance networks with 10 times higher speeds than Fast Ethernet connections. The non-blocking switching architecture in full-duplex mode enables a maximum speed of up to 2000 Mbps per port, while the store-and-forward service provides low latency and error-free packet transmission.

The GS-105B/GS-108B is a 5/8-port desktop switch with plug-and-play capability. With the N-Way Auto Negotiation function, the GS-105B/GS-108B is able to connect network devices at the highest possible data speed and automatically activate duplex mode. Easily connect network devices such as PCs, storage devices and print servers to the network without manual configuration.
Saves energy by detecting link status and cable length
The GS-105B/GS-108B meets IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standard and provides energy savings without compromising performance. With the GS-105B/GS-108B's automatic power consumption adjustment, power consumption is automatically reduced when a shutdown network device or an inactive connection is detected. This means that the power consumption of the GS-105B/GS-108B is adjusted according to the number of active network devices.
The GS-105B/GS-108B can also detect the length of the connected Ethernet cables and adjust the power consumption accordingly. The shorter the Ethernet cable, the less energy is consumed.
