Thanks to the latest Samsung V-NAND memory technology and second-generation USB 3.1 interface, the Portable SSD T5 delivers data transfer rates of up to 540 MB/s*. This is almost five times more than the transfer speed of some other external hard drives. The transmission of large amounts of data, such as 4K UHD-quality videos or high-resolution photos, is a breeze.


Minimalism in metal
The cast metal case flatters your palm and is available in two attractive colour variations: Ocean Blue for the 250GB and 500GB models and Deep Black for the top models with 1TB and 2TB.


Compact and lightweight
Smaller than a business card, with a weight of only 51g and a height of only 10.5 mm: The Portable SSD T5 is compact, lightweight and very flat - making it an excellent portable storage solution.


Inside and outside solid
With the Portable SSD T5 you don't know any more. The drive has no moving parts and the robust full metal housing is made of aluminium, so that it can withstand falls from heights of up to two metres. The optional password function secures access to the drive so that personal and confidential data is protected - this is possible through hardware-based encryption according to the AES standard with 256-bit keys. The Portable SSD T5 comes with a new, intuitive software solution for PCs and Macs*. This enables convenient password management and updating of the drive firmware. For Android smartphones and tablets there is also a mobile app that provides similar functionality.

The compatibility of the Portable SSD T5 is extensive and
in addition to PCs and Macs also includes smartphones and similar devices. The scope of delivery includes a USB cable for the Type-C to Type-C and USB Type-C to Type-A connectors. This means the Portable SSD T5 can be connected to almost all current and older systems - without having to buy adapters.
