The adapter, installed in a plastic housing, splits an 8-wire connected RJ45 output on two sockets with 4-wire contact assignment each. The 15 cm long connection cable is connected to a RJ45 plug, which is plugged into the outlet of the socket or distributor. The connection cables to the subscriber or to the next distributor socket are then plugged into the two RJ45 sockets at the adapter output. The outputs to the subscribers are marked by colored plug-in symbols for data or telephone connection. A label under a transparent cover provides space for labeling the outputs. On the bottom of the adapter housing there is a label with the indication of the contact assignment, so that the distribution structure can be traced during further interventions.
The Modular T-adapters enable cable sharing to double the connections without interfering with the existing network structures. Versions for the Ethernet, Token Ring network topologies as well as for the Ethernet/ISDN combination are available in various versions - shielded or unshielded. Important: One adapter each must be connected to the patch distributor (2 inputs from the hub/switch) and to the junction box (2 outputs to the terminals)!
If all available connections are busy in a data network, problems occur at the latest when new subscribers are added. One solution here would be the laying of additional cables, the installation of additional distribution panels and sockets. But this is very time-consuming due to the poor accessibility to the installation channels.
