A further special feature of Brother laser devices is that the original Brother toner cartridges are not firmly installed with the respective drum. The reason for this is that the wearing parts of the drum have a longer life than the powder in the toner cartridges. The separate toner/drum system allows the drum to continue to be used even after the cartridge has been empty and you only need to replace the component that is actually empty or worn. So you can save printing costs and protect the environment.
