Description
The MyStrom WLAN Energy Control Switch enables energy management in your home in a simple way. It uses the existing WLAN network at home and allows you to control TV, lamps, stereo, fan and much more. The myStrom Switch consumes less than 1 W - but switches devices with up to 2300 W.
myStrom App
Together with the free myStrom App you can use the full potential of the myStrom Switch. With the app you can switch all devices connected to the switch on or off. Furthermore, the app records consumption data and provides access to the devices - from anywhere.
Application options
Alarm system: A floodlight with integrated motion detector switches the light on when movement occurs. The switch now detects increased power consumption and notifies you immediately. Aquarium pump: The aquarium pump is defective. The switch detects that the power consumption is gone and notifies you immediately. Presence simulation: The switch switches the lighting on and off by program or randomly. Your house looks inhabited during your absence. API
The myStrom WLAN Energy Control Switch offers a REST API (REST = representational State Transfer). The interface allows direct access to the switch via the local network / WLAN and to switch it on and off as well as to read out the power measured values. Registering the switch with MyStrom Cloud is not required. This allows the switch to be integrated into almost any IT environment. The API description can be found under the tab Documents.
Connect to WLAN
Connect your myStrom switch via WPS or manually with your WLAN. WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) is the simplest and recommended method to connect the switch to the WLAN. Prerequisite - the Internet modem supports WPS. The configuration via integrated WEB interface is also possible - for professionals.
