Description

BuildTak polyetherimide (PEI) pressure bed films are made of high-quality Ultem 1000 PEI.
As a comparable alternative to BuildTak Original 3D printing surface, BuildTak PEI has slightly different adhesion and release properties, which vary depending on the material to be printed. In general, BuildTak PEI provides easier removal of finished prints, while BuildTak Original provides stronger adhesion when printing.
In combination with the BuildTak FlexPlate system, multiple FlexPlates can be easily exchanged between the BuildTak original and BuildTak PEI print surfaces, depending on the material being printed. (For example, polycarbonate requires the extra strong adhesion of BuildTak to successfully finish prints, while PEI should be used for PETG due to the possibility of easier removal.)
