The LINDY 4K-display port adapter cable is for use with modern notebooks, PCs and other devices with displayport output. It converts the signals of the DisplayPort to HDMI signals that your devices with HDMI input socket, e.g., flat screen tv, AV-Receiver or projector.
The audio output is supported only if the graphics card of the computer supports it. Various on-board display port graphics adapter, for example, Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset in Notebooks (e.g., Dell E6400) as well as corresponding versions on desktop computers support the audio output via the display port to supply, even when the HDMI-support (Intel High Definition Audio HDMI service) in the audio controller settings has been set up.
