Description

With the Icy Dock ToughArmor MB607SP-B we present a new, massive, hot swap removable frame made of metal for four 2.5" SATA 6Gbit/s hard disks or SSDs in a 5.25" mounting slot. The MB607SP-B is based on our particularly popular removable frame MB994SP-4SB-1, and takes over all the important features here, but is also manufactured more cost-effectively without sacrificing stability or material thickness. For an improved compatibility the original 4 pin Molex power connection was replaced by the more common 15 pin SATA power connection. The MB607SP-B accepts 4 x 2.5" SAS/SATA HDD/SSD from 7mm up to 15mm height and supports hot swap for fast and easy drive changes. The 40mm fan has a 3-stage fan control for optimum flexibility – switch off the fan completely (off), operate the fan particularly quietly with SSDs (low) or use the full power (high) when using mechanical SATA hard disks. The MB607SP-B is made of solid metal and can be used even in the most demanding environments, making it the ideal storage component for medical and military systems, industrial computers (IPC) and embedded systems.

The MB607SP-B uses our EZ Slide Mini Trays, which make changing the drive and maintenance completely effortless. The trays are made of sturdy metal and last many lifetimes without showing a particularly high weight and making it difficult to transport between systems. The EZ Slide Mini Tray naturally possesses extensive features for the protection of drives and the upper side cover offers additional protection when transporting drives. The trays can hold 5mm, 7mm, 9.5mm, 12.5mm & 15mm high drives and thus enable a universal compatibility and hot swap for 2.5" SAS/SATA drives.

Multi-functional design
The compact design makes the MB607SP-B perfect for small form factor (SFF) systems or systems that require multiple drives in limited space. The compact design, in conjunction with the usually limited number of available 5.25" bays, is a perfect combination for creating RAID 5 or RAID 10 systems. Total control over your 2.5” hard disks or SSDs

Never forget which drives belong in which bay. With our individual DID-plugs you always have an overview of where which tray in your RAID-network has its place. The ID-plugs can be removed and changed easily, or they can also be completely omitted.

The ToughArmor MB607SP-B supports both 7-pin SATA data cable and 15-pin SATA power cable with retaining clips, so that you do not have to worry about accidental disconnection through loose cables. Once the cables are connected, they remain in place.
