Description
The ETHSW50P is a very compact and robust Industrial Ethernet switch with 5x 10/100/1000BaseT(X). Of these, 4 ports are implemented with PoE and PoE+. Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a technology for transmitting power and data over a single Ethernet
Cable - at the same time. PoE according to IEEE 802.3af delivers a power of 12.95 W at the end user, the extended PoE+ according to IEEE 802.3at even 21.9 W.
In addition to IEEE 802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE 802.3ab and IEEE802.3x, CoS are also supported according to IEEE 802.1p. 4 queues (priority classes) per port are available for this purpose. The compact enclosure, certified to IP30 degree of protection, has been designed for use in harsh and demanding industrial environments, in which larger temperature differences and physical loads are known.
The ETHSW50P is an unmanaged and plug and play capable switch with a non-blocking/wire-respected Layer 2 switching engine. Safe transfer is ensured by the execution in the operating mode Store and Forward. The flooding storm control function can be switched on and off to protect against unwanted allocation of the available transmission rate by means of Broad or Multicast data frames.
