Description

Homematic IP window/door contact is a part of the Homematic IP smart home system and reliably monitors the opening and closing of windows/doors with a magnetic contact. Together with a radiator thermostat, it reduces the energy consumption at home and alerts with unauthorized access via the free Homematic IP APP - even while traveling.The setup can be done flexibly via Homematic IP APP (in connection with the Homematic IP access Point) or via a browser-based interface (in connection with a central CCU3). The smart window contact can also be operated without the central unit: The stand-alone operation (push-to-pair) enables the direct programming of up to eight radiator thermostats – basic (HmIP-eTRV-B) for automatic lowering of the room temperature in case of ventilation. The APP allows the window contact to be integrated into a comprehensive smart home system so that it can be used in addition, for example, for security applications. The cloud solution enables flexible remote access at any time from any location. If you prefer to know the data locally in the home network but still want to benefit from the advantages of a smart home system, the setup can be accessed from the central CCU3.
