Description
Facilan™ Ortho is a high performance 3D print filament specifically designed for orthopedic applications. The filament can also be used in soft braces, correction braces, braces, shoe soles/components and similar applications. Facilan Ortho was developed in cooperation with the manufacturers of orthoses, orthotics and persons who wear orthoses to produce the perfect filament for the 3D printing of orthoses.
The unique properties of Facilan Ortho ensure excellent adhesion to textiles. This means that 3D-printed parts can easily be combined or glued with textile inserts, intermediate soles or other support or shoe parts. Due to the low melting point of the filament, it can be formed with 55 °C water after 3D pressure and adapted to the perfect final shape.
Facilan Ortho is a semi-crystalline polyester that leads to a clean white appearance. The density of Facilan™ Ortho is approximately 1.1 g/cm³ and has exceptional mechanical properties. The ortho filament melts at 60 °C, making it a safe thermoplastic for printing. With a glass transition temperature of -60 °C, the product is extremely flexible and tough.
Facilan Ortho is a high-quality, biodegradable thermoplastic-based plastic that meets the compostability of EN13432.
