Description

The EV-Test100 was developed as an accessory especially for testing E-charging stations. It can be used to simulate charging states and test the effectiveness of protective measures on Type 3 E-charging stations with a Type 2 connector. The easy handling in combination with the Combi G3 or Combi G2 is guaranteed.

Measurement functions

Universal 4mm sockets for connection with a 1 or 3-phase installation tester with test leads (banana plug)
Separate phase display by three LEDs for easy voltage testing
Proximity Pilot (PP) rotary switch for simulating different current capacities of charging cables
Control Pilot (CP) rotary switch for simulating the electric vehicle status A, B, C D.
Rotary switch error to simulate a short circuit between CP and PE (State E = error)
Simulation of PE error (ground fault)
Connection for the CP signal output to check the communication between the adapter (=simulated electric vehicle) and charging station
Type 2 plug for connection to the charging station also included Permanently connected charging cable
Vehicle simulation (CP): The various vehicle states A to D can be simulated using a rotary switch (according to IEC 61851)
Cable simulation (PP): The different encodings for charging cables with 13, 20, 32 and 63 A as well as "no cable connected" can be simulated via a rotary switch
Error simulation: Simulation of a short circuit between CP and PE via rotary switch (state E = error)

For vehicle simulation (CP):

According to IEC 61851, states A, B, C, D and E can be simulated. The different vehicle states are set via the rotary switch.

Status A: No vehicle connected
Status B: Vehicle connected but not ready for charging
Status C: Vehicle connected and ready for charging, ventilation of the loading area not required
Status D: Vehicle connected and ready for charging, ventilation of the charging area required
Status E: Error: Short circuit CP-PE via internal diode
For cable simulation (PP):

The different encodings for charging cables with 13, 20, 32 and 63 A can be simulated. In addition, it is possible to simulate the -no cable- state. The various charging cables are simulated by switching different resistances between PP and PE using the rotary switch. According to IEC 61851, the following values are possible:

No cable: ∞ ohms
13 A cable 1.5 k ohm
20 A cable 680 Ohm
32A cable 220 ohms
63 A cable. 100 ohms
