Basically, the rain detector is used to control terminal devices in building automation. The rain detector can be used, for example, to control awnings or skylights automatically. The switching polarity as well as the sensitivity are adjustable. At its most sensitive setting the device can also detect fog. The mast or wall bracket available as an accessory enables easy installation.
Re-design
The sensor surface has been optimized, so that the reliability in difficult operating conditions (e.g. Impact). To ensure this, the tips of the sensor surface no longer run vertically downwards, but at an angle of 80°. Moreover, the individual surfaces of the sensor surface are now much narrower and thus detect reliable rain and snow. In addition to the optimized sensor surface, an automatic activation of the sensor heater was also integrated. This is only active when the sensor surface is wet and is used for quick drying of the sensor surface and for removing snow residues. In addition, there is now an adjustable switch-off delay in the rain detector. This can be set individually to approx. 90 to 330 seconds, depending on the requirement.
