Description

Unlike the TLC5940 family, you do not need to send a continuous signal that binds your microcontroller. It runs completely free!
It is 5V compliant, which was meant that you could control it from a 3.3V microcontroller and still safely control up to 6V outputs (this is good if you want to control white or blue LEDs with more than 3.4 forward voltages).
6 address selection pins, with which you can cable up to 62 of them on a single I2C bus, a total of 992 outputs - these are many servos or LEDs and an adjustable frequency PWM up to approx. 1.6 kHz. Furthermore, there is a 12-bit resolution for each output - for servos this means a resolution of approx. 4us at an update rate of 60 Hz. Configurable push-pull or open-drain output and output enable pin for quick deactivation of all Outputs
