Description

In 1980, the German car manufacturer Ingolstad presented its new two-door Audi Quattro coupé at the Geneva Motor Show. In the 1980er, the Italian name emphasized its main feature: Four-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive was an important novelty for the time being for a vehicle that was supposed to generate large quantities on the market. In fact, the "Quattro" guaranteed a good performance in combination with an excellent road holding on any kind of surface. The longitudinal front motor was able to provide a significant output. A competitive version was also produced and debuts in the 1981 World Rally Championship with good results. The success of the "Quattro" continues to this day, so much so that the Italian name has become a real "brand" that marks the entire range of Audi's latest all-wheel-drive cars.
